Privacy

Skixx is a small community forum. We keep only what the forum needs to work, we don't sell anything to anyone and there are no ads or third-party trackers.

What we store

• Your account: username, password (stored only as a salted scrypt hash; nobody can read it, staff included), role, join date and the settings you choose.
• Your email: only to log in, confirm your address, reset your password and send invites. It is never shown to other members, and we never send newsletters or ads.
• Your application: the answers you gave when applying and the IP address it was sent from, so admins can review it and stop spam.
• What you post: threads, replies, profile posts, private conversations, reactions, poll votes, signature, bio and the images you upload.
• Activity: when you were last online and which page you're on, shown to members. You can turn this off in Account details.
• Moderation records: reports, warnings, bans and the staff action log.

Cookies

Only what is needed: a login cookie (sid), a random visitor id used to protect forms (cid), your chosen style, and a one-off message cookie. No advertising or analytics cookies.

Images

Pictures you upload are checked for adult content inside your own browser before being sent; they are not shared with any outside service.

Where it is kept

The forum runs on Render and its database on Turso. Emails are sent through Resend. An encrypted backup is made every night and kept for 30 days.

Your choices

• You can edit or delete your own posts and messages.
• You can ask an admin to delete your account; everything you wrote is erased with it.
• Questions: send a message to a staff member or post in Suggestions.
